Flavia Bognuda was born in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, the canton of Ticinoin 1967. She had a dream: to become a roofer, but life had a surprise for her. In the 1980s she began training in the art of engraving at the Istituto Statale d'Arte Urbino. From 2004 to 2010 she took part in KAUS courses which opened her up to artistic engraving. In 2014 she participated in a course in engraving and mixed techniques. In parallel to the art industry, Flavia Bognuda was trained in 2005 in the work of roofing (roofs, funerary art, floors). She collaborates on several artistic projects including the Festival de la Correspondence, www.lettresdesoie.com. A mother of two, she lives and works independently in the French-speaking part of the country, in Mase, in the Val d'Hérens.

Flavia Bognuda urodziła się w kantonie Ticino, we włoskojęzycznej części Szwajcarii w 1967 r. Miała marzenie: chciała zostać dekarzem, jednak życie przyniosło jej niespodziankę. W latach 80. rozpoczęła naukę grafiki warsztatowej w Istituto Statale d 'Arte w Urbino. W latach 2004 – 2010 brała udział w kursach organizowanych przez KAUS Urbino. W 2014 r. wzięła udział w kursie grafiki warsztatowej i technik mieszanych. Równolegle do zdobywania doświadczeń artystycznych, w 2005 roku uczyła się sztuki dekarskiej (dachy, sztuka sepulkralna, podłogi). Bierze udział w kilku projektach artystycznych, m.in. Festival de la Correspondence, www.lettresdesoie.com. Ma dwoje dzieci, mieszka i pracuje w Mase w dolinie Val d'Hérens, we francuskojęzycznej części Szwajcarii.
