Professor Dariusz Kaca was born in Kutno (Poland) in 1960. He is the head of the Woodcut and Book Art Studio at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź. He works in the field of graphic art, book art, drawing and painting. He has presented his works on 37 solo exhibitions and over 300 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He has received numerous prizes for his graphic and book art works in international and national competitions.

 In 2007 he ran an International Printmaking Course in KAUS Urbino in Italy. 

Within the framework of the Erasmus Programme he gave lectures in ESAD in Caldas da Raincha, Portugal (01 – 06.06.2008), Universitatea De Arta Design Din in Cluj-Napoca, Romania (07 – 12.06.2009) and the University of Castilla-La Mancha in Cuenca, Spain (03 – 07.05.2010). 

He acted as a supervisor of a group of students of the Strzemiński Academy during the printmaking symposium in Urbino (14 – 31.09.2008). In 2013, 2014 and 2019 he ran an International Relief Printing Course at the Strzemiński Academy in Łódź. He held the position of artist in residence in Evora, Portugal within the framework of an award granted on the 5th Festival of Printmaking in Evora (28.07 – 10.08.2011). 

Urodzony w 1960 w Kutnie. Obecnie profesor zwyczajny zatrudniony na stanowisku kierownika Pracowni Technik Drzeworytniczych i Książki Artystycznej na Wydziale Artystycznym w Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Łodzi. Zajmuje się grafiką, książką artystyczną, rysunkiem i malarstwem. Prezentował prace na 37 wystawach indywidualnych oraz ponad 300 wystawach zbiorowych krajowych i zagranicznych. Wielokrotnie nagradzany za twórczość w dziedzinie grafiki i książki artystycznej na międzynarodowych oraz ogólnopolskich konkursach.
